Midway on the Square Italian Steakhouse is the product of the love and hard work of family. Midway is the definition of a family owned and run business. Three siblings, Jennifer, Charles & Julie Hulin, Jennifer’s husband Sean McRee and Julie’s Husband, Shane Broussard all work hand in hand to create an old world atmosphere. The entire family either works or helps the business in some capacity.

The parents, The Hulins & The Kashners, make delicious desserts such as Italian Cream Cake and Homemade Apple Pie and also help to create the decor. All of the children either manage, waitress or bartend. One is a musician and singer and can be seen playing here on occasion. Another is an artist and designs the coloring sheets and creates cards with local scenes that can be purchased at the restaurant. Jennifer, Julie & Shane work behind the scenes to keep things moving in the right direction.This families’ hope is that many other families will make Midway a place where they gather to enjoy a great meal and great company.

Besides being one of the owners, Sean McRee is the head Chef. Preparing delicious meals is Sean’s true calling. Along with Charles Hulin, he has created a menu that is full of delicious and unique menu items that combine Cajun influences with Italian dishes. Sean & Charles have a combined total of over 40 Years of Restaurant experience. They both attended culinary school and have won many culinary awards. They can’t wait to share their passion for food with the community where they grew up.
